![]() The thread started when a user had bought a new Canon mirrorless camera and was unable to load his images into DSS because Canon had yet again modified their raw format. Adobe DNG Converter is not a stacking program it simply takes any camera file format and converts them into Adobe digital negative (DNG) format which is a non-lossy file similar to raw. Cannon is bad about changing their RAW format every time they put out a new camera model which keeps us always dealing with software issues. The Adobe DNG Converter post was in a discussion about what to do if you get a newly available camera where the utilities modules have not yet been modified to handle the new files. I have used DSS for many years and highly appreciate its usability and especially the cost. ![]() I have never said DSS is overly complicated. Tony, not sure if your reply was directed at my post about Adobe DNG Converter but since only my post and yours appear in the thread maybe it is. ![]()
